How to write a work report

There are two types of reports, work report or event report. Mainly the report deals with one job or event. There are three things one need to keep in mind when writing a report. Use a formal language, be objective and factual and organize the report logically.

Event report and work report is very much alike, but the contents vary. An event report is more focused on the experience. A work report is much more detailed.

And the recipe goes like this:

Heading
You will have to include who wrote it, who is going to receive, the date and subject.

Introduction
Include just a little information about the event or work, and the background for doing it.

Description
Here you will have to be more precise. Include details, and organize it with sub-headings if needed. In a work report you also have to include the equipment, materials and any results from the task.

Conclusion
Write a short summary of the description, but do not add anything new. Also write your own opinion.

List of sources
In the end, it is necessary to write down any sources you used for information.

When learning this we also tried making a work report ourselves about our project: learning the states of the USA. After writing it, I also got TEL to read briefly through it. Here is my work report :

The American States

To: Jan Stokseth
From: Emilie Lurås Nymoen
Date: 26.01.12
Subject: Learning names of the USA states

Introduction
Our goal with this process was to learn all the states in USA. Although it was not a part of any chapter in the book, it is good knowledge.

Description
The first time we simply looked at all the states, before it got more challenging. After taking some tests at the Internet we had a class-cup. We were given a paper with the USA at, and we had to mark all the states. Some were better than other and in the end we ended up with two pupils in the finals, who were both really good at the states. After that we continued with the tests at the Internet. As the time went by, we all got better at the states and we did harder and harder tests.

Conclusion

It was an interesting project, and we did many nice tests at links that I’ve mentioned below. Through this project we got to learn all the states of the USA, by both taking tests and also having a cup. I think this project went very well, and I feel like I know the states much better now. You should definitely continue with this, because it was a great way to learn. In addition, it was very fun doing something different for a period.

Hey there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using?

I’m goinmg to start my own blog soon but I’m having a tough time making a
    decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and
Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different
then most blogs and I’m ooking for something unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I
    had to ask!
